Wye Valley Brewery backs local musicians by sponsoring Worcester Music Festival

Wye Valley Brewery is delighted to be supporting the Worcester Music Festival, which will be taking place across the city between Friday 13th and Sunday 15th September.

This is the first year Wye Valley Brewery has been involved with Worcester Music Festival, which is set to take place across more than 20 city-centre venues and host more than 250 bands. To celebrate their involvement, Wye Valley Brewery are giving away cases of their cool, crisp lager, ‘1985’ and branded merchandise too.

Wye Valley Brewery will also be sponsoring one of the festival’s key venues, St. Swithun’s Institute Hall on The Trinity, so have decided to run a social media competition giving festival-goers the chance to win bottles of 1985 and t-shirts by sharing their best moments at the Festival with a bottle of the Brewery’s award-winning lager alongside the hashtag #coolcrisplager.

Wye Valley Brewery’s first-ever lager was recently recognised as the UK’s ‘Best Classic Pilsener’ at the prestigious World Beer Awards, having previously claimed Silver at the 2017 International Brewing Awards and Gold at this year’s SIBA Independent National Beer Awards.

Abbie Gadd, Head of Sales and Marketing at Wye Valley Brewery, said: ‘Worcester Music Festival is a brilliantly organised community event that embodies the spirit and vibrancy of the local music scene. We are hugely proud to be supporting this year’s Festival.’

Helen Mole, festival organiser said: ‘It’s so important to have the support of local brands like Wye Valley Brewery and we’re delighted they’re supporting local talent through Worcester Music Festival. Wye Valley Brewery have been a hugely proactive sponsor this year and we’re looking forward to generating engagement across social media with their fantastic giveaway.’

Editor’s Notes

Wye Valley Brewery

Since 1985, Wye Valley Brewery have been producing the very best cask, keg and bottled beers, using the finest ingredients, while at the same time supporting the Great British institution that is fondly known as the ‘pub’.

The brewery’s reputation for consistent excellence in product quality and customer service is the reason their beers are served in more than 1,200 pubs and bars throughout the West Midlands and South Wales. In fact, they’ve gone from a humbling beginning of producing approximately 10 brewers’ barrels a week to an average of 800 barrels per week – that’s more than 12 million pints per year!
