Finalists Revealed for 2019 Mini, Junior and Youth National Rugby Awards

Zeus Events are proud to announce the finalists for the inaugural Mini, Junior and Youth National Rugby Awards, which takes place at Twickenham Stadium on Thursday 29th August.

The awards offer the chance for youth teams across the country to enjoy a behind-the-scenes tour of Twickenham Stadium – the home of rugby – and meet current Premiership Rugby players as well as past internationals.

Clubs across the country have been nominating their clubs, teams and players in 11 categories, including the ‘Spirit of the Game’ Award, ‘Outstanding Achiever’ Award and ‘Team Mate’ Award. This is the first year the National Rugby Awards – which is in its fifth year – have held a standalone ceremony for the mini, junior and youth bracket. There are six nominees in each category who will now face an independent panel of rugby professionals before winners are announced at the awards ceremony.

Adam Clayton, co-founder of Zeus Events, said: ‘This is the first year we have run the standalone Mini, Junior and Youth National Rugby Awards and the response has been phenomenal. The number of nominations for each category shows how healthy grassroots rugby is in England. We’ve been hugely impressed by the high standard of nominations and it was a hard task shortlisting six nominees for each category. Now we’re looking forward to hosting nominees at Twickenham Stadium on Thursday 29th August and thanking them for their hard work and commitment to the beautiful game of rugby. These players are the future of the game and we’re delighted to be part of their growth in the sport.’

In total there are 72 finalists in the Guinness National Rugby Awards across the 11 categories. Tickets are now on sale for the Mini, Junior and Youth National Rugby Awards, which can be purchased on the official website.
